| I am now in Singapore doing tourist stuff and a great gallery. Last night I went on Ellen's refined recommendations (thank you Ellen), I went up another tall building (71st floor) and had happy hour drink and watched the sun set. I then headed for other happy hour deals including the Macho Margareta (and yes Ellen it really is the size of a fish bowl) which another Singaporian business man bought for me (and food)...i think it is my pink sarong swooshed around my shoulders that gives me a sense of class you know (my dear uncle John said I looked like a Spanish hooker at Caroline's wedding, oh so maybe that's it?) ? Onto a club that had a UK DJ. the clientele was mostly ex pats who were dressed like Chigwell and were hammered. I hung out with a Korean intern, who was a laugh. Tomorrow morning I fly to Perth and I will be saying good bye to Asia..Booo Hooo sniff sniff. Ben, Doug and Dave you have been warned I'm on your trail..I can't believe that it has been nearly 4 months it has gone so quickly...yes Rachel and Alexis 4 months and NO email..! Things I will miss about Asia: excellent street food for little money. people being friendly, saying hello in the street and Vietnam celebrity status due to pasty skin. funny translations. men having their shirts half way up (well depends who's doing it, otherwise a gratuitous perv). Things I won't miss: interesting road safety. snotting spitting from the back of the throat. no wine. the smell of durian fruit. working out toilet paper and spray gun politics. "hello, lady where you go, moto?" So hope you are not all beside yourselves about the football, remember it's only men chasing a ball...saying that I did actually sit in a bar and see bits of the game, maybe I jinxed it?...I always forget how long football games go on for, boring isn't it?. luckily the bar owner was trying to chat me up so there was a distraction. | ||
