The Beaver State
Posted Tuesday, 21 August 2007
We arrived at the Greyhound coach station in Portland after an unpleasant 16-hour bus journey, and Jim's friend Erik and his wife Jessica collected us. We stayed with them for ages so hopefully we superseded Jessica's initial impression of us, which surely must have been poor - we definitely weren't at our best at first! (Jim studied with Erik while he was at uni over here and we both visited him again in 2002, but it was the first time we'd met Jessica.) We did lots of short trips with them as well as a few longer ones and we generally just had a really fun time.
